Last weekend, a portion of the RVCA Skate team –– including Josh Harmony, Jeremy Leabres, Julian Davidson and Skate TM Austin Stephens –– made their way back East for a few days of urban activities, organized in part by KCDC Skate Shop in Brooklyn.

Friday kicked off the weekend with a well-attended art show at KCDC, featuring a variety of painted works by Josh Harmony. Josh’s artistic style continues to evolve, and the collection displayed in the shop was an impressive look into that evolution. His works will be on display through the end of March 2019.

Saturday night’s event saw another solid turnout, kicking off RVCA’s month-long residency at a warehouse space in Brooklyn, built out with a mini ramp and plenty of room for a band to play. Female-fronted skate rock group Witch Slap played an energetic set, followed by none other than DJ Trashman while local legends like Shredmaster Keith and Pat Smith made appearances and, along with Julian, Josh and Jeremy, gave everyone something to whistle about.

Sunday’s event was all about the kids, taking the form of a “learn-to-skate” clinic, hosted by Broken Bones Skate Club. Refreshing beverages were provided by HealthAde Kombucha and everyone in attendance was shredding in their own way.

Thanks again to everyone who participated and attended! For more information about the RVCA March residency and to get the full schedule, stop by or contact KCDC Skate Shop.
